About Alanna Pryke:

Alanna completed her GIS diploma at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, Manitoba. Alanna volunteers with The Marquis Project and the Canadian Agricultural Rural Extension Society, both non-profit organizations based in Brandon that serve to educate local Manitobans on sustainability issues and create partnerships for development projects abroad.  She completed a joint project with The Marquis Project and The Tanzania Society for Agricultural Education and Extension to provide maps and statistical data on wood fuel usage in rural Tanzania. She also completed maps of project sites in Upper West Ghana using open source GIS software, a more financially accessible option for locals in developing countries.
